After a beautiful, green April (which honestly, I could have stayed in forever), it’s time to welcome May’s color: Pink. I have to admit – green is my absolute favorite. I felt so good in it, like I was wrapped in my own personal forest. But pink… pink has been waiting patiently, and I was actually looking forward to this moment.
Not Much Pink, But Always Loved
Funny enough, before this month, my wardrobe didn’t really have much pink in it. A few blouses, a sweater, some sporty t-shirts, and that one favorite pink beanie I absolutely adore. (Though since it’s May, I’m really hoping I won’t need to wear a beanie anymore. Fingers crossed for a sunny, warm May!)
Still, I wanted to be ready. So I went on a little preloved pink treasure hunt and found some beautiful second-hand pieces. Everything is prepared for May – because honestly, I had already picked all my colors before this project even started. And somehow, it always felt right. Every month, the color just clicked.
What Pink Means to Me
For me, pink is this perfect mix of strength and femininity. It can be soft, sweet, gentle – but at the same time, it has this powerful presence when it shows up in full chroma. There’s something energetic about it. Especially magenta, which I love because it’s a bit of a rebel color. Did you know magenta isn’t even part of the visible spectrum? It’s like pink said, “I don’t need to fit in your rainbow to exist!” That alone makes it special.
Wearing All The Pinks
For this month, I’ve decided to wear all the pinks. Cooler pinks, warmer pinks, light and airy blush tones, bold and deep magentas, muted dusty pinks – everything is allowed. It’s like a pink playground. As always, my “top color” rule stays: every outfit has a pink top, combined with jeans or neutral bottoms.
Pink and My Art
When I think about it, pink (and coral) shades have always been some of my favorites in my illustrations. If you scroll through my littleell Instagram, you’ll see that soft, feminine pink vibe running through my work. It feels very “me.”
Seven Months, Seven Colors
Can you believe this is already month number seven of my color journey? Time flies when you’re dressing in rainbows. Every color so far has been an experience – a little self-discovery, a new mood. I can’t wait to see what pink has in store for me this month. What will it bring? What will it reveal?
A Pink Month Ahead
So here’s to May, to pink in all its shades, and to that magical mix of softness and power. I’m ready.
