Turquoise: The Color of July
I’ve never worn turquoise before. Seriously, not a single thing in my wardrobe was this color. So for this month, I found myself actually shopping a little to bring turquoise into my life. And since it’s July and summer, I didn’t need much – just a couple of skirts and a few tops. Fingers crossed I can make it all work without buying even more! Summer layers are light anyway, so I’ll just wash a bit more often and remix what I have. I’m hoping my little collection will be enough to carry me through this turquoise month.
I do like the color though. To me, it’s that beautiful sea‑colored hue – fresh, breezy, and easy on the eyes. It’s definitely lighter and airier than a deep blue, and somehow less heavy than green, too. Turquoise lives right between blue and green, borrowing the cool calm of the ocean and the fresh vitality of leafy greens – which feels so right for a summer month.
here’s something almost magical about it. It doesn’t weigh you down. It lifts you up. It feels like sunlit water – sparkling, clear, and inviting. I guess that’s why I said I love turquoise, even though I’ve just begun wearing it.
Honestly, I don’t really know what to expect this month. That’s part of the adventure! I was a bit sad to let go of yellow, my favorite color ever, because I adored wearing it and it made me feel so sunny. But turquoise has its own kind of energy. I’m curious to see what a whole month wrapped in that color will do to my mood, my daily life, and even what I choose to pay attention to this July.
I’ve given myself permission to explore the full spectrum of turquoise – from aqua and Tiffany blue to dusty turquoise, petrol, lagoon, ocean tones, light or dark – basically anything that lives between green and blue.

Turquoise – What It Means (According to Color Psychology)
Turquoise isn’t just pretty – it means things too:
- It’s often linked with calmness, clarity, and balance – like a peaceful mind and a refreshing, open space.
- Because it blends blue’s tranquility with green’s growth energy, it can feel both soothing and revitalizing at the same time.
- Some people say it encourages clear communication and emotional balance, which feels fitting for a month where I’m wearing a color I’m still getting to know.

When I think of turquoise now, I imagine it like a breath of fresh air – calm, yet bright; relaxed, yet full of potential. Perfect for summer days that are warm but somehow still cool inside your mind.
Let’s see where this turquoise journey takes me!
